Dignity Dialogues
This in-depth webinar series, Dignity Dialogues, is an opportunity for our members to engage with experts and each other on topics related to assisted dying, grief and living with life-threatening illness. To be notified about upcoming Dignity Dialogues, please sign up as a member. To date we have hosted:
“Pi and Pegasos” (20 November 2025) with Pi Delport, who travelled to Switzerland in 2024 with their partner Una in the hopes of giving her the peaceful death that she sorely wanted. Pi’s story also features in our “Way To Go” podcast episode called Love’s Journey
“Grief During The Festive Season” (4 December 2025) with Bridget McNulty and Vuya Ilengou explored practical advice on how to support oneself and others.

Dignity at the End-of-Life Seminar Series
To date Dignity has hosted two well-attended seminars at the Tutu Foundation as part of this seminar series. The first event, held on 22 October 2024, focussed on “The South African Constitution and Assisted Dying’, together with Prof Landman. The second seminar, held on 19 May 2025, addressed the topic of and was moderated by activist Mark Heywood. For a recording of this seminar, please visit our YouTube Channel.

Conversations About End-of-Life Care Planning
DignitySA helped the Advance Directives Campaign to launch a webinar series about advance care planning. The first conversation was held in October 2025 and led by Prof Rayne Stroebel of GERATEC together with and Dr Margie Venter of PALPRAC.
